Terry Felton

Happy ’80s Birthday to Terry Felton, who was a 2nd round draft pick of the Twins in 1976 and spent parts of four seasons in Minnesota. Unfortunately for Terry he finished his career with an 0-16 record. After leaving baseball, he worked in law enforcement in Louisiana.

Happy ’80s Birthday to Jesse Barfield, who spent 12 years in the big leagues and was part of a fantastic Toronto outfield in the ’80s.

Jesse enjoyed his best offensive year in 1986 when he hit 40 bombs, drove in 108, and won a Gold Glove. 

Happy ’80s Birthday to Darrell Brown, who spent four years in the bigs with the Tiger, A’s, and Twins and was Minnesota’s regular centerfielder in 1983 and 1984. He later became a scout.

Jim Bibby was born on this day in 1944.  He broke in with the Rangers in 1973 as a 27-year-old and won 19 games the following season. He also stepped up for the Pirates in 1980 by winning 19 again. He passed away in 2010.
