The Padres trade Keith Moreland and Chris Brown to the Tigers for pitcher Walt Terrell. Neither Zonk nor Terrell stays long in their new homes. The Pads sent Terrell to the Yankees in exchange for Mike Pagliarulo the following July and Detroit flipped Moreland to the Orioles a few days later. Brown finished his career in Detroit.

Larry Parrish 1988 Fleer

The Red Sox release Larry Parrish and his big league career is over. Over 15 years in the big leagues with the Expos, Rangers, and Boston, Parrish hits 256 homers including two 3-homer games. He moves to Japan and hits another 70 homers over two seasons before finally retiring.
