The Cubs score 9 in the first en route to a 22-7 pounding of the Astros at Wrigley and the teams combine to hit three grand slams.

Brian Dayett in the 1st, Billy Hatcher in the 4th, and Keith Moreland in the 7th.

The Dodgers beat the Reds 13-5 on 22 hits, each and every one of them a single.

Steve Sax and Mickey Hatcher each record 5 hits and Dave Concepcion threw the last inning and a third, allowing two hits and striking out Franklin Stubbs.
