Bill Robinson was born OTD in 1943. 
He collected more than 1,100 hits and 166 homers over 16 seasons in the big leagues and won a ring with the We Are Family Buccos in 1979. He passed away in 2007.

The White Sox trade Scott Bradley to the Mariners for a PTBNL. Seattle sent Ivan Calderon to Chicago to complete the trade. 

Calderon plays until 1993 and goes .293/28/83 in 1987 in Chicago.

Bob Sebra goes five innings against the Mariners in his debut and gets a no-decision. 

He spends six seasons in the major leagues and wins 15 games.

Astros catcher Craig Biggio goes 0-2 in his big league debut but calls a shutout as Houston beat the Giants 6-0.

The Midwest League Appleton Foxes sweep a doubleheader over the Wisconsin Rapids Twins despite getting a total of two hits in the two games.

Future big league outfielder Daryl Boston goes 0-6 in the two games.

Clearwater Phillies organist Wilbur Snapp is ejected from a Florida State League game after playing Three Blind Mice following a controversial play.

Wilbur’s 15 minutes of fame ensues.

An error dropped leaves him safe at second base after being caught. He’s then hosed trying to steal third.
