Ray Knight
On May 13th, 1980, Cincinnati Reds third baseman Ray Knight homered twice in the 5th inning of a 15-4 win over the New York Mets.
He led off the inning with a solo shot off Mark Bomback and hit a grand slam off of Ed Glynn to cap an 8-run Reds inning.
Von Hayes
On June 11th, 1985, Phillies outfielder Von Hayes homered twice in the 1st inning of a 26-7 win over the New York Mets.
Like Knight, Hayes led off the inning with a solo shot and later hit a grand slam. The Phillies scored 9 runs in the first inning and seven more in the second inning.
Andre Dawson
On September 24th, 1985, Expos outfielder Andre Dawson homered twice in the 5th inning of a 17-15 win over the Chicago Cubs at Wrigley Field.
Dawson hit a three-run homer off Ray Fontenot and another three-run shot later in the inning off Jon Perlman.
Montreal scored 12 runs in the top of the 5th and led 15-2 after five but the Cubs rallied and nearly won the game.
Dale Murphy
On July 27th, 1989, Braves outfielder Dale Murphy homered twice in the 6th inning of a 10-1 win over the San Francisco Giants.
Murph hit a three-run homer off Jeff Brantley and another three-run shot later in the inning off Goose Gossage.
The Giants scored one in the first and Atlanta scored 10 in the 6th.
