Happy ’80s Birthday to Onix Concepcion, who was a rookie in 1980 and singled off Andy Hassler for his first big league hit. He spent parts of seven years in the big leagues and won a ring in 1985.

Happy ‘80s Birthday to Randy Bush, who made his debut with the 1982 Twins and spent 12 seasons in the bigs, all with Minnesota. He is one of seven players who were on both eh 1987 World Series champs and the 1991 World Series champs.

Happy ‘80s Birthday to Brent Gaff, who pitched for the Mets from 1982 through 1984, going 4-5 in 58 games while also recording a save. He is the only person from Churubusco High School in Churubusco, IN to appear in the big leagues.

Happy ‘80s Birthday to Rod Allen, who spent parts of three seasons in the bigs with the Mariners, Tigers, and Cleveland. After his playing career he served as a minor league coach and also a broadcaster for the Tigers. Unfortunately, that portion of his career came to an end when he was involved in a fight with his broadcast partner Mario Impemba.

Happy ‘80s Birthday to Tracy Woodson, who spent five years in the bigs with the Dodgers and Cardinals, including winning a World Series with L.A. in 1988.
