Dwight Lowry was born OTD in 1957. He made his big-league debut with the 1984 Tigers and returned to the big in 1986. He passed away of a heart attack in 1997 while he was managing in the minor leagues. He was just 39 years old.
Happy ’80s Birthday to George Hinshaw, who attended Centennial HS in Compton, CA and appeared in 13 games for the Padres in 1982 and 1983. Centennial alums include Al Cowens, Lenny Randle, Lonnie Smith, Reggie Smith, and more. After his playing career was over, George went into coaching.
