Happy ’80s Birthday to Hall of Famer Jim Palmer, who pitched in the big leagues for 19 years and never gave up a grand slam.

He did give one up in the minor leagues, though, to a fella named Bench.

Mitchell Page was born on this day in 1951 and had a tremendous rookie year in ’77. Here is the story of his season.

Happy ’80s Birthday to Glenn Gulliver, who played in 73 games for the Orioles and hit a big home run on the final day of the 1982 season.

John Barfield was born OTD in 1964. He made his debut with the Rangers in 1989 and won eight games over three seasons in Texas. He was shot and killed on Christmas Eve, 2016.
