Jim Palmer 1982 Topps Baseball Card

Happy ’80s Birthday to Hall of Famer Jim Palmer, who pitched in the big leagues for 19 years and never gave up a grand slam.

He did give one up in the minor leagues, though, to a fella named Bench.

John Barfield 1990 Topps Baseball Card

John Barfield was born OTD in 1964. He made his debut with the Rangers in 1989 and won eight games over three seasons in Texas. He was shot and killed on Christmas Eve, 2016.
