Trout ends up re-signing with the Cubs, as does Sutcliffe, while Sutter ends up in Atlanta.

Ueberroth holds a news conference and states that expansion or relocation may come as soon as 1986. It doesn’t come until 1993 when MLB adds the Florida Marlins and Colorado Rockies.
