Happy ’80s Birthday to Tony Arnold, who appeared in 38 games for the Orioles in 1986 and 1987 and has been a pitching coach for the Dodgers and Indians since 1990.

Eric Davis caps a weekend series against the Phillies by going 4 for 5 with 3 homers and 6 RBI. Over the three-game set, Davis goes 9 for 13 with five homers, including two grand slams, 11 RBI, and seven runs scored.

Hubie Brooks goes 5 for 6 for the Expos in a 4-3 win over the Reds.

Donald Weimer of Racine, Wisconsin gets into a scuffle with Reggie Jackson in a bar after Jackson refused to sign an autograph.

Weimer later told the court that he’d had about nine beers but “I didn’t feel like I was affected,” because Wisconsin.
