The Phillies send him to the Yankees along with Marty Bystrom in exchange for Shane Rawley.

Jim Bibby allows a leadoff single to Terry Harper and then retires the next 27 men he faces to beat the Braves 5-0

Every starting position player on both the Cardinals and Astros collects at least one hit and the two teams combine for 27 runs on 34 hits in a 15-12 Cardinals win. Garry Templeton, Tony Scott, George Hendrick, and Tommy Herr each have three hits for St. Louis.
