Happy ’80s Birthday to Tony Pena!

I don’t care how old he is, I still wouldn’t run on him.

Happy ’80s Birthday to Terry Kennedy, who spent 14 years in the bigs and was a four-time All-Star.

Happy ’80s Birthday to Kurt Stillwell, who was the second player selected in the 1983 draft and played nine seasons in the major leagues.

Happy ’80s Birthday to Beau Allred, who made his debut in 1989 and spent 3 seasons with the Indians.

Happy ’80s Birthday to Ricky Jones, who appeared in 16 games for the 1986 Orioles.

Happy ’80s Birthday to Steve Searcy, who won six games over five seasons for the Tigers and Phillies.

Marge Schott eliminates the fireworks after each home run and each Reds win, saying they’re too expensive and they confuse fans.

“You never know if the fireworks mean we won the game or hit a home run,” she told the Cincinnati Enquirer.

The Mets have the top pick in the draft and select Shawn Abner, who appears in just 392 games for the Padres, Angels, and White Sox over his six-year career.
