The Cubs trade a PTBNL and cash to the Indians for Cliff Johnson. Chicago sent Karl Pagel to Cleveland to complete the trade. 

Chicago flips Johnson to Oakland at the end of the season. 

Pagel was a big prospect who couldn’t quite put it together at the big league level.

He appears in 11 games and signs with Toronto prior to 1988.
