All Rickey does is hit .294 the rest of the way for the A’s, win the ALCS MVP, help Oakland win the World Series, and win the A.L. MVP the following season.

Jim Acker hits Tracy Jones with a pitch and Jones charges the mound. The Reds win the game 6-5.

Managerial Changes

6/21/85

The Twins fire manager Billy Gardner and replace him with pitching coach Ray Miller. 

Miller guides the team to a 50-50 mark the rest of the way and is fired in September of 1986, replaced by Tom Kelly.
