Brett Butler is playing racquetball in Atlanta when he his hit in the eye with a ball that shatters his protective glasses. A blood clot forms, and he must wear patches over both eyes. He recovers fully and plays 161 games in 1986, leading the A.L. in triples with 14.

Don won 324 games over 23 seasons in the big leagues and was elected to the Hall of Fame in 1998
