Happy ’80s Birthday to Hedi Vargas who put up big power numbers in the minor leagues and appeared in 26 games with the Pirates in 1982 and ’84.

Happy ’80s Birthday to Juan Agosto, who recorded seven saves for the 1983 Winning Ugly White Sox and spent 13 years coming out of the bullpen for five teams. 

Happy ’80s Birthday to Jim Anderson, who turned in his best season in 1980 when he posted career-highs in games played (116), starts (84), plate appearances (345), hits (72), home runs (8), RBI (30), and runs (46).won 

 Fred Kuhaulua was born OTD in 1953.

Fred played professionally for 11 years, including parts of two seasons at the major league level with the Angels and Padres.

He passed away in 2021.

He hits .256 in 23 games at the big league level and retires.

He’s only 16 years old and spends eight years in the minor leagues before making his big league debut with the Cubs in 1991.

The A’s sign Dwayne Hosey as a free agent. 

He spends six more years in the minor leagues before making his big league debut with Boston in 1995.

Howser passed away six months later.
